Royal Exchange
One of the things depression has a habit of doing is making me feel like I've accomplished nothing, so I decided to look back on last year, as a means to prove it wrong.
In 2017, I hired four super talented creatives, took on a new role in fashion—an industry I wanted to pursue for years, co-designed two suits with Saran, got a 'Best Dressed' feature in Esquire wearing the first suit, oversaw my personal rebrand and restarted my blog, wrote a tonne of feature articles and guest blog posts, shot three editorials and two lookbooks, art directed two shoots, released three songs, directed a music video, debuted a host of new songs from my album at two shows, mentored three students, got a written piece published and to top it all off, got engaged to the most wonderful human being (hi, Kavya).
I have a LOT to be proud of, and even more to be grateful for. One thing I'd advise to all for 2018, is to keep a daily list of little achievements. No matter how big or how small said achievements are. It's nice to be reminded of the positives and to appreciate yourself.
With this revelation of how good 2017 actually was in the grand scheme of things, I decided to see it out in true London style: shooting at the Royal Exchange in Bank. Taken by @styleandstylus, I wanted to showcase two outfits that pretty much epitomised my AW17 wardrobe. Both getups were centered around my check Turnbull & Asser suit jacket, with attention to shirt-tie combos, and finishing touches - in this case, the accessories. I've outlined the brands, and you can check out the images below!
